Unless it's changed really recently, but all the times I've been, you get a token on entrance to the car park, then have to pay at the machine next to the doors to get a token to let you out of the car park.

That's just the one(s) at the front. The one I'm going to is round the side/back. Previously pay and display which was waived if you had pre arranged free parking with the department I'm visiting.

Don't risk it, you don't need unnecessary carp in your life, especially if you are unwell, concentrate your efforts on getting better.

Thanks. I think I unintentionally misled some with the initial post.

I intend to pay the car parking fees for the time I'm there. I was only wondering whether, IF I decided not to pay that fee, the situation with parking eye would be the same as if I had paid but then had a letter from them, lets say for example for being 10 mins later than the time I had paid for.
