Window Recommendations

We want to put a new upvc window in our upstairs bathroom. It is not a standard size so will have to be made to measure, probably bought online. Therefore can anyone recommend a reliable window company to me.

I have been looking online for ages but cannot find many genuine reviews, only advertisements. I have even searched on here but haven't come up with anything.

We just want to purchase one diy window. B&Q and Wickes don't seem to do the size we want which is 1200 high and 850 wide. We want a top opening and a side opening. We want reasonable quality and don't mind paying for it. Any companies to avoid? Any good ones?

Any site that rates Safe [stile] as #3 in top 5 windows companies is not worth visiting IMO. They got hammered by BBC watchdog and have been out of business on many occasions to my knowledge. Thereafter re-opened under a different persons name.

The question that crosses my mind is how much did the company pay that site to rank it so highly?

Whatever you do avoid safestyle , they are scum :cool:

I've used Britelite before, they were very good, I'm in Tunbridge Wells, but I'm sure they have a few locations throughout Kent

Thank you both. I was going to avoid Safestyle anyway because of the one star reviews on that site. Will check out Britelite.

I had Britelite windows years ago (they were trading as Britelite Supreme) and they were great but I'm not sure that the current iteration is the same company.

I used Orion windows installed a year ago, they are great price and never had any issues with them

Have used a company called the Window Store. They are the direct sales arm of the company that produce the windows for Wickes and the whole TP group amongst others.. Whilst Wickes only sell limited set sizes, if you go to them direct they will do made to measure. Decent quality for the price.

Have also used Anglian. Ended up getting a decent deal from them, but have to say, as a company, saleswise, they were a complete and utter shambles.
