I really started to give up on CAG earlier in the year when it seemed that the whole board had become dominated by just two posters who were largely ignorant but very bullish. Things don't seem to have changed much and it is always aggravated by one of the mods who has - or used to have - something of an attitude problem. My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016).
For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com0 -
Yeah. No problem with differences of opinion. That's life but to give poor and maybe costly advice is anotherProud to be a member of the Anti Enforcement Hobbyist Gang.:D:T0

I would love to see their 100% winning defence!
As you have said I don't think any of them have ever seen the inside of a county court, and seem to have no idea how it works.
As we know the county court can be a lottery, they seem to believe all district judges are a step down from a law lord, when indeed as we know they can be a relatively inexperienced solicitor.0 -
I just read that thread and its shocking really, don't they realise that Napier have issued hundreds of claims in the last year or so, most under pofa 2012?
I advise ignore on occasions, but I do give the warts and all of doing so, the people seeking advice are adults, its up to them what they do. But in the case of Napier, PE and CEL and one or two others appeal to popla is probably advisable.
I don't normally get involved in criticising other websites, but I mean , DAMN!When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

How can people encourage someone to take a risk in the court when it can be killed of for nothing.
People have to realise it's not their own money. That's why I have advised people to settle with pe for costs in the past if given the option. Simply due to the risks invovled.Proud to be a member of the Anti Enforcement Hobbyist Gang.:D:T0 -

It's just like someone offering you a million pounds in your hand and you saying 'No thanks, I could win that on the Lottery on Saturday, so I prefer to buy a ticket'.
That's when the gift horse kicks you in the mouth!
The CAG advice on this particular case is appalling ....... and arrogant. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Must admit, I've lurked but not posted (apart from trying to get a radio code), but that really got me sucked into the rest of the posts on there. It's amazing compared to here. (and Pepipoo) What planet are they on? And members of the site team appear to be among the worst of them, and most vocal in the abuse. Have they got no code of conduct? So, maybe I'm a cynic, but if you were a PPC who wanted to post the worse possible advice, and sucker as many as possible into believing a court case was the easiest way to go, and a certain win, a good day out, etc, etc, and violently flaming anyone who dared suggest the correct way. Then standing back at a very safe distance and watching the obvious novices crash and burn in court........... Infiltrated? Just a question that suggests itself. Keep up the good work on here. (Posted on my phone, that, despite re editing, keeps removing any paragraphs)0
