Where is my laptop Dell?

Hi folks,
Looking for some help contacting Dell. Not sure if this is the right forum, but if not, please redirect.
Briefly, ordered a laptop beginning of the month and all the way through was told that expected delivery would be today. Last Sunday, status went to shipped, from China. Well today tracking still says in China.
Now to the main problem. How to contact a warm bloodied real person at Dell. Tried the number given in the email - just took me to the main automated switchboard. Tried searching their site. Just ended up in a loop pointing to automated tracking.
Two days ago, I filled in a complaint form and last night got a call from a ver nice man from Dell in America, who promised to investigate and call back today. Guess what, no call.
So, anyone know how to contact them?

Hi, thanks for the advice. I've already "reached out" to dell via both twitter and their forum, seem to be ignoring it. I've tried the email you supplied and will report back with the outcome0 -
Give the American chance, it might be taking a while to sort out, it might be a time zone thing or he might not be working today.
I find that US customer service is usually better than what we're used to here once you get to speak to someone. One by one the penguins are slowly stealing my sanity.0 -

I would do, but the 'American' specifically said he would personally look into it and "ring me back tomorrow". That was yesterday... no 'phone call.0
