Unable To Udpate Signature

For some odd reason I cannot update my signature.....any known issues? I use the Edit Signature page, make the changes I want and click submit. I get the address bar filled in as normal with php?do= at the end, but a blank screen. Clicking refresh, the usual browser message about re-submitting data comes up, but still the blank screen.

Have cleared cookies and cache but still the same thing. Logged out and in again and cleared again, still the same thing. Can see/use the forum normally in all other respects.

Running Ubuntu with Firefox, all updated and latest editions. Never had issue before, most recent update of sig was two nights ago, no problems.

Any ideas?

I can edit mine OK in Firefox/k/ubuntu.

Maybe try clearing it completely then re-adding it? Or try with another browser?

Hi! Okay I have tried:

1. Clearing the signature and saving.
2. Altering the signature and saving.
3. The above but previewing first.
4. Updated programs, Ubuntu and Firefox.
5. Cleaned caches internally via program(s)
6. Cleaned cache/cookies/etc via third party system software.
7. Re-started Firefox without add-ons and extensions.

All return exactly the same result. Blank page.

I haven't tried another browser and don't particularly want to download a new program to verify this single error. Firefox working as usual on every other site and situation and was working fine with this task until 24hrs ago. Rest of site operating normally as well so cannot see it as a browser issue this end. Is there a bug on my particular profile page do you think?

Any ideas? Can a mod delete my signature and I can try from scratch? Really do need to either update it or lose it altogether. Any help appreciated.

I've not been able to update mine either and on the Grocery Challenge thread, a lot of other people are having the same problem as well. Just getting error messages every time I try.

Have now un-installed/re-installed FF and same issue - I think this rules out browser / my computer......?

I've got this problem as well.
It's definitely nothing to do with you southerndave, it's a forum problem.
I wonder if someone has messed around with settings and clicked the No button to people changing signatures

That's it! Phew. Will await response as I have submitted a report to the forum team. Probably underneath it now with a spanner and WD40!

Seems to be a few glitches with the forum today. For example the spam button is not removing things properly in some cases, and some people cannot post new threads.

+ must be something usergroup permission based, as I can still change mine OK.

Tried testing on a spare test account, and had the same thing as you under FF and Chrome.

I am using Google Chrome and I can't update my signature either - comes up with an error message. I have deleted history, cookies etc but still no luck.

Hopefully it will be fixed soon.
