Same item is available dollars for pounds in U.S. ( I bought one for $299 ).

However, if buying there, be aware that it comes bundled with U.S. maps. European maps are not easy to obtain here as a separate item due to Garmin's restrictive sales policies. I got them here in the end as part of an automotive accessory kit for a different model. Grand total price still only came to U.K. price, but I have a set of U.S. and Canada maps as well.

Also, don't be tempted to buy mapset CDs cheap off the net. You have to have a Garmin unlock code to use them. Only mapping software that works correctly, and makes use of all GPS routing functions is Garmin " City Select " series.
