Camera stolen 'Twice' while on holiday.

We are travelling around Australia and Asia and the unthinkable has happened. Whilst in Australia a few weeks back our camera was stolen. I purchased this camera before we came travelling last November.
Not being put off and ruining our holiday we purchased another camera (same model) and contacted the insurance company. They advised us to lodge the claim when we get back in July. No problems there. We got a crime reference number at the local police station.
However we are now in Hong Kong and this afternoon in Kowloon somebody stole our new camera. It happened while we were having lunch and the camera was on the table. One minute it was there and the next it was gone. There were hundreds of people around and we had no chance of getting it back. You may think that we don't take care of our stuff but we really do. We watch everything and always make sure everything is secure.
Fortunately I back up all our pics so we have only lost a few from the last couple of days.
We have valid receipts for both camera purchases and have lodged police reports. I have no other choice but to purchase another camera (This time it will be a cheap one!).
Do you think the insurance company are likely to be favourable with us? We are totally genuine but I am pretty sure this is a very rare occurence were someone tries to claim for two cameras on one holiday. Incidentally we are travelling for 9 months so it's not like it's a two week break.

Hmm that's a tricky one. I wouldn't be able to say either way, but the best thing to do is contact the same dept again and let the know of it. As long as you have the crime details and police reports, and the original receipts, you at least have something to stand on.... they may be sympathic and treat it on an unusual basis.0
