Bombay Duck and Citylink

Order my SIL birthday present from Bombay Duck on the 30th Aug it was sent out on the 2nd Sept and still waiting

I phoned them several times last week but was told they had to wait to chase it as delivery is 3-5 working days. Fair enough I was happy with that bit concered I was cutting it close as her birthday was the 11th.

By yesterday (12th) still no delivery called the company and they contacted Citylink. Apparently Citylink had tried to deliever the parcel twice but had failed so they sent it back to the warehouse. This was annoying as Citylink had left no notice that they had attempted to deliver because my brother would have re-arranged delivery for when he was in.

They advised they would get a fresh parcel sent out yesterday. Received the new order e-mail late last night and noticed they had the shipping address as my address not sil's address :mad:

I know have to wait for Citylink to deliver to me so I can ignore the deliver (possibly twice) for them to send it back to the warehouse to then send it to my SIL

So disspointed it was an expensive gift for birthday because she has done a lot for me this year and now it's all mucked up

I wouldnt ignore the delivery, I would take it in and maybe send it on. I think in refusing delivery you are going to elongate a situation that is not needed

I can't afford to send it on it's a full china tea service to be sent to Glasgow I'm down in Essex.

It was Bombay Duck who advised to ignore the delivert

Oh, if they have done that and prepared to resend it then go ahead and do that. Make sure you have it in writing though and then get them to resend to your sisters.

They have just rang it is being re-sent out on Monday now so fingers crossed

Still not happy though as this has been nothing but trouble I've had to make 9 calls to them in total to get this far
