Who is responsible for moving a elec meter?
We have to get our electricity meter moved for building works and I am having a real nightmare getting someone to take responsibility for it.
We are with Scottish Power who say that Electricity North West cover our area and will move the meter. When I rang them they say they are not responsible for this as they do not own the meter and that they will only move the cut out box & service cable.
I have had several phone calls back and forth and getting really fed up with it now. Can anyone help?
Thanks

If they can move the box and service cable then that will be enough. You can then get your supplier to install a meter in the new location. We have to get our electricity meter moved for building works and I am having a real nightmare getting someone to take responsibility for it.
