The Life model in Vauxhall terms is (I believe) the most basic model. I notice on the Meriva it has after fit alloys which look a bit weird (for want of a much better word...... ) I have also known of the PAS issues.

How about a Skoda Roomster if you need something with extra space? (if you ignore the fact it looks slightly funeral-esque)

I've driven that era Meriva quite a bit - in the spec and engine advertised, as it happens. Really hateful cars. Avoid like the clap.

Slow, horrible handling, leaden ride, awful interior and unreliable. there's almost nothing likable about them.
