Living Social voucher for CU Digital

I bought a voucher for a wedding photo album in July from Living Social. I downloaded the CU Digital's software, made the album and then paid for it online using the voucher and paying for delivery.

Once the payment goes through, the photo's are supposed to upload to their website and begin the process of making the album automatically. The upload started but failed.

Since late July I have been trying relentlessly to speak with someone called Allan Dolman, who deals with this at that company. He has ignored my emails, not responded to my calls and I am tired of this saga.

Living Social washed their hands of the whole thing stating that they are only responsbile for the validity period of the voucher. All I was asking them for was to see if they could contact CU Digital on my behalf but they wouldn't.

So basically, I've paid for a photo album + postage, I cannot upload the photos, the order has never been completed and the only person who can resolve this issue will not respond to me.

What do I do next?

This seems to be the company:
They're Birmingham based, and certainly mention "living social voucher" on their download page.

Allan is the sole company director and so if he doesnt answer you choices really are fairly limited.

Companies house list his details as:

    12 GRAVETT CLOSE
    HENLEY-ON-THAMES
    ENGLAND
    RG9 1XW

Personally I would send a recorded delivery letter to both the above address and the company address on their website as the next course of action

If you read his linked in profile (uk.linkedin.com/pub/allan-dolman/19/546/aa3) it says it only launched the service "this month" so probably no surprise of some teething problems
  • Thanks for the info folks.

Still no call back a promised.

    Will look into this further.

WHOIS comes back as Dean Farmer, Queensland, Australia?

Have i got the wrong site?

COM and CO.UK both have the same name.

UK individual but registered in australia?

  • Who knows, could be their web designer who's been a bit sneaky and registered the domain in their own name rather than the company/ client.

Personally would trust Companies House a little more than Whois data
