Adding Product Manuals To Kindle

Hi, I've downloaded a few product manuals, in PDF form, to my computer. I'd like to transfer them to my Kindle (it's just the standard wi-fi version). Is this practical?

I've tried to do this using Calibre and while I can read the text no bother the images are missing and for the manuals I'm using the images are more than helpful

Again is it doable and ny suggestions, as always thanks for you input.

Kevin

I don't think you need to convert it - Just transfer it direct to your Kindle

    Built-in PDF Reader for Kindle
Your Kindle displays most PDF documents without losing the formatting of the original file. You can magnify PDFs by viewing them in landscape mode.

  • There is a free piece of software called Calibre which is great for converting files and managing your Kindle, though PDF's are supported by Kindle automatically

You did read the original question?

On the Amazon.com site there is a free download of 'Send To Kindle'. This puts a Send To Kindle entry in your right click menus so that you can select any .doc or .pdf document on your computer and immediately transmit it to Amazon for conversion and downloading to your chosen kindle device.

try "emailing" the PDF to your kindle

your kindle should have a email associated with it. Something like:
    "<kindles_name_unique_ID>@kindle.com"

Send the PDF as an attachment with the word "convert" in the subject line. Nothing else!

Amazon's server will try and convert the PDF to a Kindle friendly format before sending it to your kindle.
