Car warranty

Friend bought a brand new car, with 3 yr manufacturer warranty.

15 months later garage says engine mounts are snapped.

Garage refusing to repair under warranty as they say it is 'abuse of car' that caused damage.

Any advice??

The first thing you do is contact the manufacturer. In fact the dealer should have done this, so why haven't they?

Is there more to this story than your telling us? Does the garage know something you/we don't?

Sorry...more details....

Car also needs 4 new tyres [obviously not under warranty] but garage saying this is a sign he has been abusing the car.

Also dent in bulkhead where engine twisted [presumably after mounts snapped] and again they say this is a sign the engine was being abused at the time they snapped/torqued.

It's a FWD car.

It is possible to abuse an engine mount enough to break it - I've done it before (although not exactly easy - this was a hard launch at near full lock)
