Friday 13th September - What small DFW things will you do today?

* Food from stores
* Deliberately avoided cashpoint and used supermarket points instead for a choc treat for tonight (on special offer naturally!) and some essentials washup liquid (brand downshift) and some mayo (also special offer!)
* Not going out tonight, cold and wet anyhow...
* YouGov survey awaits input
* Later I will inspect my Xmas card and wrap stock from last Jan sales to ensure sufficient levels in for this year
And that's it so far... pleased with the points scenario, could have gone into a £20 or more spend by default, otherwise. Getting the hang of this...

Hi Friday Money-Savers,
Well, a lovely morning...real 'season of mist & mellow fruitfulness'.......until I did another load of laundry & then it promptly started wazzing down with rain. Grrrrr......
Small positive MSE things today:
*Got one load of laundry done overnight on Economy 7.
*All now drying on the new heated airer.....tho' needless to say it isn't actually being switched on till bedtime, so as much energy-use as possible occurs on the cheaper tariff.
*Grocery shop, a bit over, but had to go to Aldi for a few bits so decided to stock up on a few of the things we particularly like from there. (I always get their reduced fat mayonnaise....79p & it's really nice, I wouldn't pay out for that well-known brand again, also tuna flakes 49p, which make fab tuna mayo even tho' they look a bit...well...flaky, when you open the tin. Also like their tomato puree, baked beans, kidney beans, ladies' monthly items & ryvita substitutes).
*Got cheap anti-histamines ready for imminent camping trip as I am a one-woman mosquito magnet. Normally 79p at Aldi, currently on sale at 49p, so stocked up.
*Bought lovely black cardi at charity shop for £5.
*Managed to find a few last camping bits we needed in local discount shop plus 99p shop.
*Found some decent bread in the bargain bin, also some yellow stickered deodorants & butter.
*Planted up 2 containers for Autumn. The naughty old Foxgloves would have spent easily around £40 on this job as would have bought in lots of new colour-themed plants. This year, I thought ahead......<slightly smug glow>. I divided up loads of primulas & wild primroses at the end of Spring & grew them on, ready for autumn planting. Just bought a tray of pansies (£2-50) & my Mum treated me to a cyclamen.
*Cut a bunch of rosemary & hung up to dry. Kitchen beam looking very witchy indeed, but it will all be used.
*Meals as per meal plans......jacket potatoes with something from freezer.
*mr f valeted the car himself - Hope that campsite isn't a quagmire... :-)
Still to do:
*Toluna surveys. My inbox is full of new ones. Not really in the mood, but I need the vouchers to help me replace my wardrobe with smaller clothes, so will knuckle down to do a few.
*Knit Christmas present. It's growing quite quickly. Aran feels like knitting with rope after sock wool!
Anyone with little Tinies: Aldi shortly has a baby-themed promotion....think it starts on 19th though could have mis-remembered date. No earthly use to me, as don't know anyone with babies/toddlers, but there looked to be a big range of gear in the promotional leaflet.
OK.....surveys here I come....can't put it off any longer. Hope they're not all about mobile phones.....<yawn>
Cheers,

Afternoon all :wave:
:staradmin OH's cousin was coming round for tea and biscuits s'afternoon but unfortunately isn't well. Saved on tea and biscuits!
I love this - I'm the same - friends were meant to be coming next Sunday for brunch...such a shame they can't make it now
Foxgloves - thanks for the tipoff - my SIL is preggers so I've sent her a link.
Also I realised today that I did my sums wrong last week when I was calculating what I've paid off so far this year. It's £3,590 in total :T :j :T I'm hopefully going to smash my £5k target...
Night in tonight crocheting for pal's baby - hope you are all having as rocking a night as me
