Twitter goes public

Just heard that we will be able to buy shares in Twitter.

But will I be allowed more than 140?

Welcome to the internet! A place where insane amounts of money are made through people wasting time on a daily basis.

Before each tweet you'll now start to get ....

That's like saying: "The Internet, tried it once and found it a complete waste of time".

Sure you can waste time on Twitter, you can also use it as an amazing tool to find information and keep up to date on any subject in the world.

Besides, the question wasn't whether you 'like' Twitter, it was whether it is an investible opportunity. Personally I don't like medication but that doesn't stop me having a few GSK shares.

Not really. Why did I bother? Unappreciated genius, that's me. Maybe Yorkie1 gets it.

  • I suspect it will be overvalued.

It has strong barriers to entry and might make a good dividend type stock. I cannot see that much growth in the model. But I am probably wrong.

As long as it can be expressed in 140 characters (or 110 with 10 characters reserved for the obligatory hash tag, 10 reserved for the person's ID you're flaming and 10 reserved for the obligatory swear word).
