Hello can anyone assist I have some defaults on my file that I which to contest and remove.
I have written to each lender with a template I have found however the reply's have been fob off in nature saying a default notice would have gone out and we don't have to provide you with a copy.
Does anyone have a further template letter to send out advising them of the requirements or could anyone advise of the best method of going forward.

Are you disputing the fact you defaulted on a debt owed or the dates the defaults were placed?0

Afraid unless the data is incorrect (as fact) you are limited in what you can do. A Notice of Correction is the usual placebo you can send to the CRA's. other than that, you have to await them timing out after 6 years.0

They don't have to provide you with a "certified copy" of any default notice. The templates people have posted all over the internet (including here on occasion) that say they do are a load of nonsense.
Under ICO guidelines "recommends" lenders should perhaps keep an internal record that one was sent, but they do not have to retain a copy.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB
