Asda santander credit card

I had a asda credit card which was run by Santander but was told late last year that adsa was stopping this card and collaboration with Santander and that the card could not be used for purchases after 16/01/13, so I cut up card and got another. I've just received a statement from Santander saying that the aa has taken £142 repeat payment and I now owe them. The aa payment was an oversight on my account but surely Santander should of rejected the payment. Do I need to pay this as I don't want to mess up my credit score

You've had the product, so yes you need to pay.

The alternative is to not pay, and your credit file will be ruined for 6 years.
