Balance transfer returned

Hi,
I applied for a balance transfer on my Barclaycard. It all went through ok.
Then noticed my balance was zero. It shows the transfer has been returned. No notification and now missed the payment on the other card.
Barclaycard have not replied to my question. Very annoyed that it was returned with no reason and no notification.
Anyone seen this before?

If I've understood your post correctly, the other card has "returned" the payment Barclaycard sent?
If that's correct, what have the other card said? Did they ever see the money?0 -
It would appear the other card returned it, but, I can't check that card (partners card). The transactions are dated 3 days apart.0

Perhaps one party is becoming stricter about permitting transfers to/from different named account holders.john_white wrote: »It would appear the other card returned it, but, I can't check that card (partners card). The transactions are dated 3 days apart. Are you for real? - Glass Half Empty??

One possibility is that there was a mistake with the 16-digit card number.
The money would have gone into a suspense account (using just the sort code and collection account number), and because they couldn't allocate it to your partner's card they returned it to Barclaycard.
Check the details you gave to Barclaycard, and compare them with the ones Barclaycard actually used.0 -
Perhaps. I'll get the other half to call up her card and ask why they are not accepting payment

As the transaction went through it seems as though it's the receiving card that is the problem. It is a store card.0 -
Well why didn't you say?john_white wrote: »It is a store card.
It's not possible to BT from some storecards, with Argos and Next(?) being two such cards.
Which storecard is it?0 -
I also noticed that she has 'account cover' which I assume is a form of PPI on the transaction. I'll get her to ask for all of these 'transactions' to be refunded.0

Barclaycard don't show the card number in the transaction but yes I guess it could get stuck anywhere then returned.0
