Panasonic TV - Switches on and off

I have a TX-32DTX10 panasonic widescreen tv with freeview. Sometimes, when I am watching freeview the tv will switch itself on and off for no apparent reason. It usually does this once a night but last night it did it three times whilst i was recording a programme on my DVD recorder. Does any1 know why this is happening?

Couldn't find anything about your TV at all, even on Panasonics website - although I did find this customer service number: 0844 844 3856. I used to have a CRT tele which switched itself off too. It turned out to be a dry joint (bad solder) inside the TV which took the engineer about 15 minutes to fix (including the time it took to open the TV. Most local repair shops can do this for reasonable prices. Try customer services first tho.Throwing acid is bad.... in some peoples eyes...0

It might be the remote control, i know this is a problem on some samsungs which keep switching off. Best to give panny cust services a call, they may well know about it0

My Panasonic is doing it as well. Its a few years old but I have to switch it on and off about a dozen times before it will stay on. A real pain.0

Sounds like a heat related fault i.e. dry joint as mentioned above real easy fix more than likely!0
