Claims company - can I get out of it?

Used direct redress to claim against PPI miss selling, one company has come back to me directly with an offer of over £2,000. DR doesn't know about the offer, think I have something similar coming from a credit card too. Can I stop this from going ahead or do I have to use the claims company now?
Thanks in advance.

Read your contract and see what it says about cancelling it and what the costs are.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Did you make a complaint separately without the Claims Company being involved?
If you did, be sure that you haven't signed a legally binding contract with this firm allowing them to represent you in all PPI complaints. If you have, you'll (eventually) receive a bill for their "services"0 -
A lot of firms will send the final response letter to both customer and CMC. If they didnt get a copy they will know eventually and will chase you for whats owed.
Would you pay for dinner at a restaurant before you leave or just walk out?
Do you want Direct Redress to take you to court?0
