Voluntary Redundancy Question

Hi all,
Apologies if this has been asked previously in another threat..
As far as I am aware redundancy under £30k is tax free, so my question is this - is voluntary redundancy treated the same as any other redundancy package in terms of tax?
Hope this makes sense!
Thanks in advance.

Yes, it is. Even if your redundancy is voluntary, the first 30k of any payment will be tax free.3 stone down, 3 more to go0
