Mayo container might say 6 weeks from opening but I ignore that. Keep it in the fridge and use it over 6 months. The colour might become a bit more yellow but it is safe to consume.
Ignore once opened consume within x day/weeks notices. A jar of pesto sauce lasted 9 months, mayo is 7 months etc.
Manufacturers do put things like this so you buy more!0
