Claiming back bank charges from gambling debts

I'm getting myself back on track after falling into a pit with gambling! I spend a huge amount of money on bank charges when I was overdrawn and using my reserve.
Can I try and claim these back? Or will they just say it's my fault? (It obviously is my fault, but are the charges still unreasonable?)
Anyone any experience with this please?

No you can't claim them back.0 -
You cant claim charges back. The minute the bank knows they are from gambling then they wont typically be interested in helping you. Banks do not like gamblers (i know that is somewhat ironic).I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0
