I've got between 50 and 55 thousand pounds in a Halifax account which i will be withdrawing shortly due to the account rate plummeting. Where is the best place to put this amount of money for 2 maybe 3 yrs.
Thanks in advance.

Same sort of accounts that people can put in their £50K, £30K, £70K....0

Your best bet is clearly to have 2 Santander 123 accounts paying 3% each. That takes care of £40K.
After that, I would recommend getting 4 Nationwide FlexDirect accounts paying 5% on 2.5K each. That takes care of another £10K.
After that, you are into multiple Classic Vantage accounts from Lloyds, Bank of Scotland, and now TSB (except the tsb now call it Enhance rather than Vantage).0 -
You can play the current account game in the post above.
Beyond that look at maximising ISA allowances. Halifax might not e a bad place to tie your money up for two years, but expect less interest than you've previously earned.
