Whitby Restaurant

Hi!
I am having a weekend away in Whitby to celebrate some family birthdays this weekend and am looking for some restaurant recommendations please.
Plan is to go and have fish and chips on Friday night (well you have to, don't you!) but we are looking for somewhere to eat on Saturday night in or near Whitby. It would be great to have somewhere that serves some local fish/seafood - what can you all recommend?
Thanks in advance!

We always use Hadley's, just over the bridge from the railway station side. Other place in Whitby are expensive and are no better than here.

We always go to Trenchers when we're in Whitby
Great Fish and Chips but also have lots of other fish dishes too.
Also The Stables restaurant just outside of Whitby is great too. Not so much seafood but luxurious English food!0 -

We enjoyed The Magpie a couple of years ago and they cooked gluten free fish and chips which was so worth itGrocery challenge October: £228.28/£250.00 NSD 4 ( not completed)

Absolutely love the Pie and Mash shop, but don't think it's open evenings. In the week we were in Whitby I think we went there 5 days :-)"I AM DEATH, NOT TAXES. I TURN UP ONLY ONCE."- Terry Pratchett0
