Just got a call at work for my boss from The Pension Careline wanting to 'help' my boss unlock any frozen or forgotten pensions he might have. Had quite a good chat with the chap - [TEXT DELETED BY FORUM TEAM] - on the phone who basically acknowledged it was a fishing exercise and is the next 'PPI' type thing. Told him we weren't interested.
Five minutes later a colleague of [TEXT DELETED BY FORUM TEAM rang my bosses mobile then the office number again - I politely informed him not to bother us again!
Tel number was 0161 850 8833.
And so it begins again - you have been warned!

Well, just had a call from a delightful young woman from this number. I told her I was not interested but she continued talking. I then placed the phone on my desk and walked over to press record on my answer phone. I left the room and let her talk to herself.
On listening to the recording, it took nearly 5 minutes for the woman at the other end to clear the line. Listening to the recording back, I can hear her telling a colleague "The !!!!ing !!!!! has put the phone down on the side", "I am gonna make this !!!!!es life hell and ring her hundreds of times a day" and then in the style of Achmed the dead terrorist " !!!!!, I kill you".
I have sent the recording to the relevant authorities.
Isn't it nice to know that call centre staff have such wonderful manners

Unregulated company trying a scam.
Or, a regulated company breaching all the rules in the book.
Yep, you're right - need to take care.0 -
BEWARE - The Pension Helpline 0161 850 8833 also known as Lead Management North Ltd
I have received a cold call from these people today offering to undertake a FREE review of my pensions. They tell you that they will get one of their consultants to ring you and request that you leave them your telephone number, mobile number and your email address.
This all sounded really good, but i thought i would check them out online..... only to discover that it appears that "The Pension Helpline" is a scam and it has been reported by a number of local authorities
I believe this is the same company as The Pension Careline, or perhaps they have simply changed their trading name0 -
I've been getting loads of calls from this number over the last few months, but I've got caller ID on my home phone so I've not answered the calls. I've rang this number back a few times in the evening "out of office hours" to see if there was a recorded message to see who it was. The number's not even recognised! in other words it doesn't exist! very strange indeed....It's now been added to my Caller Barred list.

Not that strange, many organisations set up their outgoing telecom kit to send a "presentation number", and this is the number that is displayed to whoever they have called. So instead of the actual number taht is calling, they will send the main number for the organisation.Maizie1691 wrote: »The number's not even recognised! in other words it doesn't exist! very strange indeed
This organisation obviously decided to use a number that isn't valid.0 -
Looks like they have a new number: 01772507858
Just made a complaint about them since we are registered with TPS.0
