Hi
My son is looking at buying this computer but I wondered if anyone here could recommend a better deal.
Many thanks in advance!

But if ever I stray from the path I follow
Take me down to the English Channel
Throw me in where the water is shallow And then drag me on back to shore!
'Cos love is free and life is cheap As long as I've got me a place to sleep
Clothes on my back and some food to eat I can't ask for anything more

I thought so too! But I'm a money saver!

Can anyone give me a better deal with similar specs?
I would prefer he gets a great monitor, keyboard and table as well!
His budget is 1500, the tower by itself is 1700! :eek:But if ever I stray from the path I follow

If it is just for gaming, I suggest you get i5-4670K instead of i7. i5-4670K provide good value on gaming when compare to i7-4770K.
And for GPU, go for GTX770 instead of GTX680. They are basically the same.
IMO, you can consider something like this.

Or if he really want intel i7. Go for custom PC website like PCspecialist, DinoPC, Cyberpowersystem, Chillblast, overclockers
Here is an example from dinopc
http://www.dinopc.com/shop/pc/-b-NEW-b-Asusinator-4670K-OC-94p1717.htm
Customise
Change CPU to i7-4770K, SSD to Samsung 840 120GB
Edit: I am no expert on monitor, but I think something with 2ms response time will do the job.0 -
I specced similar, including i5 4670k, 16Gb fast Ram, SSD, 3Tb HDD and a Geforce 770 2Mb with case and 24" Acer 2ms monitor for £1100 all in, even including keyboard and mouse.
That was from Scan, and again from PC specialist.0 -
Stay away from HP gaming machines, and alienware!0

It's from PC World, that should be your first clue that it's over priced. Hewlitt Packard is your second clue.0

A gaming computer for £1.5k would make a good one, mine cost me £650 (Including £175, 3D ready Monitor) , 2 years ago (95% used parts off eBay)
Only the Monitor, Case, Keyboard, Mouse and Windows was new, everything else was used which includes my two hard drives, motherboard, ram, cpu etc
Its still going strong with the new games0
