i just found this link..very informative..and as they said every time i was there 'this is for promotional purposes only' and noone ever got to buy anything i think they may just be drumming up business for a day when an actual sale takes place, and then they will disappear straight after.Membre Of Teh Misspleing Culb0 -
There's even a spoof ad on the TV but I can't remember what it is actually for that shows these scams as a 'how not to ' look after your money type of thing.
One of the spoof ads shows two burly blokes leaning on a car talking about these auctions and referring to 'plants' in the audience.

ye- there was one of these in a disused shop in Leeds for a good few weeks until it disappeared
Unfortunately seemed to be a lot of folk lining up to get in for their 'bargain sales'0 -
Seen a couple of these - not in permanent shops but in pubs and just for one evening.
They offer cheap good to plants (or maybe lucky customers) to show what a bargains they have. Then they offer vouchers for the main event at, say, £50 a go. The victimes buy a voucher which is then exchanged for either a choice of cheap goods or a sealed box - worth a lot less than paid but they've already handed over the cash.
The advertised goods to get the punters in never appear.0 -
my friend just have been ripped off by these, £5 for a pen...Life should not be taken seriously, as no one would get out alive0
