Terrible Tescos

On 22nd August i ordered a Wii U game from tesco direct and was given a delivery date of 28th August. I was hapy with this as the game was a gift for my sons birthday on 31st. When it hadnt arrived on 28th i waited incase it had been delayed in the post but when it hadnt arrived by 31st i logged into my account to check on it. The game hadnt even been dispatched!! I queried this on their facebook page and was told they would 'look into it'. They never did get back to me so i ended up over a few days complaining a further 4 times and being asked for my details and told they would 'look into it' or 'get back to me'. Eventually last thursday 5th september someone finally replies that the game is out of stock (still showing as in stock on the website) and that it would be sent early this week. Now wednesday 11th and the game is STILL showing as not dispatched... three weeks after i ordered and 12 days after the birthday. i'm not happy at all and getting nowhere. what can i do:mad:
feb wins: tshirt with my slogan on :D 2 tix to london show

  • You can either wait or get your money back
One important thing to remember is that when you get to the end of this sentence, you'll realise it's just my sig.
  • Just cancel it and buy elsewhere.

Have you been speaking to them on the phone or is this all through emails?

I find I get much further when dealing directly with someone rather than by emails.

I would complain to customer services, explain the disappointment caused to your son and they may offer you a gift voucher.

Failing that, you cannot force them to send it to you, so cancel and order somewhere else.

When it hadn't appeared on the 28th I would have checked the delivery/dispatch status then, however that is done now. In future and if there is no real price difference a gift you need, cancell the order under DSR and buy it locally, at least that way they get the gift in time
