Chessington in term time

Just wondering what the queues are like at Chessington during term time? To stay at their hotel from a Sunday to Monday is £100 cheaper than Saturday to Sunday.
We may go in couple of weeks at the end of September but was just thinking whether or not the queues are less, rides are shut for maintenance etc?
Thanks you.

We have been on inset days before and it is a lot quieter than weekends or school holiday time. All the rides were open. I think it is only on zoo days that the rides are not open, so look at their opening times to check that it is not a zoo only day. I assume (with the new guidlelines regarding fines for parents taking their children out of school during school time) that your children are pre-schoolers so just pointing you to the offer of £19 for an adult and child aged 5 and under in case you haven't seen it.

The Holiday Inn at Chessington is right at the park entrance and may work out cheaper.0 -
Thanks Susan. We are aware of the possible sanction. We don't usually take them out and not done only for a week in their 5 year school history so far.0

i went there over 10 years ago. November times were best, we went through quite a few rides, many we just ran to without queing.
Only problem is that some of the great summer rides like the water barge that splashes from the giant slide is not doable because you'd get soaked and then freeze for the rest of the day.
Weekdays in Summer is generally busiers than weekdays in autumn.
Winter isn't worth going, i think they're not even open.0 -
We've had some lovely quiet sunday visits there with the rides being virtually walk on. I believe the flume and the mine train rides are both out of action for refurbishment this season and rameses revenge is also not available which will obviously mean more people waiting for the remaining rides.0
