How long for a balance transfer?

I applied and was accepted Monday just after 5pm and requested a balance transfer during application. Online today, my account still says its a pending transaction but has been authorised.
I was wondering how long it takes to appear on actual account screen as completed? I called yesterday and was told it had been actioned but the following advice on barclaycard website is slightly conflicting:
How long will it take for a balance transfer to show on my account?
We’ll process your balance transfer on the first working day after we get your request. The payment will be received by your lender(s) on the next working day. It may take longer if we receive your request outside business hours (on a weekday after 7pm, or any time at the weekend or on a bank holiday). Occasionally we may have to make additional checks, for example, if we need to make sure that your request genuinely came from you. If this is the case, there may be a delay but we'll process the transfer as quickly as we can.
Anyone had personal experience? Still anxious ill be one of those accepted then account withdrawn .

Maybe depends on your bank but last time I did one it was all through within twenty minutes.0

twenty minutes?? wow.
My application was around 5:30pm monday evening ans at the moment is still showing as pending on my new barclaycard account (although it states they have authorised this transaction). Its deducted from my available credit also, so wondering why its not yet showing as a full transaction on my account as yet. I was sending it to vanquis ?0 -
No idea about Vanquis - Mine was between Barclaycard and RBS.
And as soon as it cleared, RBS security flagged it and rang me-up to confirm it was a genuine transaction. Which is why I can be pretty certain about the 20mins!
Actually, it might be worth phoning you Barclaycard CS number and ask to be transferred through to their security people - They could have intercepted it and IIRC, they tend to write rather than phone you if they intercept a transaction, so it can take a few days. There won't be any problems doing this - I tend to do it if I get any of those suspicious "this is your CC security" calls - Confirm it via a genuine channel.0 -
I did a BT from Aqua to Barclaycard a couple of months back. It was processed the next working day and showed on the Aqua account a couple of working days later.
They're very quick, they go via Faster Payments. But if you receive a bill for the card you're BTing from in the meantime, make sure you make the minimum on that if the BT hasn't been received yet. Better to end with a card in credit (which you then get to keep) than a fee.urs sinserly,

Thanks everyone.
Shows as an authorised pending transaction which reflects on my available balance but my current balance still says £0.00
I assume it was actioned Tuesday (next working day), so will check tomorrow for it to appear on actual balance.
