Poor credit rating and high rate cards

I have a poor credit rating due to some old defaults from before my divorce. These are dropping off now and are mostly paid apart from one which is charging a massive rate of interest and I am paying very little off the actual balance. They won't reduce the interest rate so I would like to balance transfer. Sadly as my credit rating is poor I can only get a card with another high interest rate. Do I just have to swallow this or is there something I can do or a product I can apply for geared towards people in his situation.
Thanks
Thanks

On the MSE website their is a credit card soft search facility that allows you to see what chance you have of getting a new card.
It doesn't leave an imprint of your credit files so it's worth a look... but congratulations on finally getting your defaults consigned to historyIt's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. Any replies are my own personal opinion and not a representation of my employer.0 -
Thanks i'll do that.

Fluid, or maybe barclaycard platinum might be suitable for you - worth a read of the bottom part of this article (the bit about "poorer credit scorers") - http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/credit-cards/balance-transfer-credit-cardsA smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0
