Even after settled defaults have gone still can't get credit

Dunston do you know out of interest how long these payday loans stay on someones credit file, is it 6 years after settlement? Also do the banks disregard the issue say 2 years after pay off, or are you screwed for a mortgage until it drops off completely?

Not dunston, but all accounts stay on credit file for 6 years past settlement, and the date when they are disregarded by banks is set entirely by the individual banks and their own credit policies. One bank might say yes, another might say no.urs sinserly,

Don't place much trust in the Noddle 1/5 rating... mine is only showing as 2/5 and I already had several credit cards and one loan, and in the last 3 months have got a mortgage (on very tight affordability from a very picky lender) and successfully got a 27 month 0% balance transfer credit card (Tesco) as well as a storecard with absolutely no problems.0
