CCJ and Depression

Hi
I've posted on here before but never really been honest and upfront about the impact my CCJ has had on my life. I had a CCJ issued against me in 2010 by Severn Trent Water for £133. The impact this has had on my husband and myself has been immense. We are unable to buy our first home together, we have lived in 3 properties which are rented since 2010, which has had a knock on effect on our child having to keep move nursery etc. The biggest impact however has been on my mental health, I feel absolutely in despair at the possibility of my marriage falling apart and being unable to provide a stable home for our child. This has now resulted in my being under my GP for depression, of which my GP is aware is related to this CCJ. My GP has now volunteered to write a letter to support an application to have the CCJ set aside based on the impact this is having on my health and family. I have spoken to a manager in the credit management department at STW and they have stated I can put their name on the application and they will speak to the court if necessary to advise them of the circumstances surrounding the CCJ and that I wasn't aware of it and as soon as I was I paid if fully.
I just wondered what everyone's opinions in this and whether you feel they might take it into consideration?
Thanks

The CCJ can be set aside on the grounds of you not being aware of the debt or court case.0

Thing is STW state they have record of sending me letters advising me of court action, however I don't ever recall receiving them, obviously for such a measly amount if I had know I would have paid it immediately. I have no way of proving I didn't receive the letters. They did however state that they have had no problems with my account since this particular address and it has always since this date been paid on time and highlighted that as soon as soon as I was made aware of it it was settled, unfortunately through because I wasn't aware of it I couldn't pay it within the 28 days. I just wondered if the court may show a little compassion.0

In fairness, you must have know you owed it, long before you didn't getany court notices.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
It is a civil case, where money is owed. Pretty cut and dried.
How the court would look at it, as the lender followed their process correctly. The chances of you not receiving any letter before actions, or notices from the court at all? Or not being aware of the debt. Is quite slim. You say no letters as far as you are aware, you may have just binned them. Possible?
Lots of people have to rent and run the gauntlet as they just can't afford a mortgage. Lots of people in the armed forces upheave their kids every few years.
It is nearly 2014, so you'll only have two years for your CCJ to be gone, off your file, forever. So I am sure you can work together to save a bigger deposit and wait.
Children are resilient. Having to move nursery and even through infants and early juniors, is not a huge thing for most children. Not how the parents think it is.0
