Barclaycard Mastercard on line fraud

I recently checked my on line B/card M/card a/c (which my wife and I have had for over 20 years) and noticed an extremely high amount in pending transactions. I immediately called B/card and was told my card had been used to make one on line purchase of over £3000!!! When I had established that the transaction was nothing to do with me, the card was blocked straight away.
As if this wasn't bad enough I then found out that the fraudster had, about 12 days before the fraudulent transaction, hacked into my on line a/c and:
changed my home address
deleted my home tel no
added a new cardholder
As access to my on line a/c requires info only known to my wife and I and never shared with anybody outside our home, I am very disturbed by this episode. At no stage during the time these changes were made on line or during the following 12 days did B/card contact me to check they were ok. How an additional card holder can be allowed to be added by B/card without the existing cardholders agreeing is beyond me.
Needless to say my confidence in B/card's security has completely gone.
I am now looking for a credit card with EMUE or similar technology which generates a random number after PIN is entered which is required to access on line a/c and would hopefully prevent a similar fraud in future. I wondered if anybody could recommend any such credit cards.
Many thanks and if you have a B/card M/card I recommend you keep an eye on transactions.

In the eyes of Barclaycard, you did agree. In fact you requested it, as the request came via the secure online platform. They would not have known that your details had been compromised.
I know that FD are shortly introducing a randomly generated number system, so there's one company for your shortlist, although it will be a month or so before this is live.0 -
Omg, hope they are sorting this out and it won't affect your pocket personally. Please check and change any other online accounts you may have as it could be a result of your pc being hacked. Things like eBay, amazon, paypal etc all store your card details, so change passwords ASAP and get your pc checked for piece of mind.
Good luck0
