Hi,
I've just had a new boiler installed, my plumber advised that it will need to be commissioned - does anyone know what this is and who does it? I asked the plumber but he was unsure on both accounts.

Did the plumber install the boiler? Are they not Gas Safe Registered?
Was the boiler fitted to old pipework? Was the system flushed through prior to installing the new boiler?If my post hasn't helped you, then don't click the 'Thanks' button!

You need a Registered Gas Installer. The commissioning process should be set out in the installation manual. Until that is completed, you have no idea if the boiler is safe to use.If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.0 -
:eek: If your "Plumber" doesn't know then he is not qualified to have done the job in the 1st place :eek:
You will probably now have difficulty in getting anyone to touch the installation and the "plumber" should also be reported for carrying out work he is NOT qualified to carryout :mad:

it's illegal to leave an un-commissioned boiler connected to the gas supplyI'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.
