bought vax from argos yesterday and used....no probs but sale announcement today means it may be £30 cheaper for our model tomorrow.....any way i can return the used one? i dont mind being cheeky or lying ;-)

No legal rights, but it will depend on their returns policy. If it's accepted under their 28-day policy, then I'd clean it out thoroughly and rebox it.

Buy one at the cheaper price and take it back in a few days with your original receipt for a refund under their 30 day return policy if it applies...which I think it does.

Go in wearing a suit, find the youngest member of staff and tell them that you are the personal assistant of Mr Argos himself and that he is in his limo down the street and he needs £30 from the till immediately. If they question you, get angry and tell them they could lose their job if they don't comply immediately. In fact the whole store could be closed down if Mr Argos finds out about such belligerence.

If it doesn't work at the first store then just go to another Argos and try again
