There is a remarkable chap called Alan Sloman walking from Land's End to John O Groats raising funds for Sue Ryder Care. He's doing it in memory of his father who died in one of Sue Ryder Care's hospices.
Now even if you don't think you want to support this man in his epic journey, I have to say that in my opinion, his blog makes fantastic reading. He's posting from his phone, when he has reception - which now that he nears the end of his journey, is less frequent.
Just thought I'd share that with you.
