balance transfer to current account???

Hi,

I bank with barclays and also recently accepted for a barclaycard. Is it possible to balance transfer to you current account a certain amount?
If it is possible, what account/card number do you use? just your debit card number?
any advice appreciated, thanks in advance x

I have a BC World Mastercard and there is a place to click on the online servicing website to make a transfer to a current account. If I click there it always says that there are no offers of that type at present. This leads me to believe that they may permit this sometime in the future.

Yes you can do it, I have just had a look at my online account with barclaycard and currently they are offering

Transfer money to your current account and pay
0% p.a.
Until October 2014
2.90% or min. £2.90 transfer fee applies

To do it the online system states:

Simply call us on 0800 316 8808 and we'll be pleased to arrange your transfer.

Please have the following to hand:

your offer letter with your secure transfer code
the Barclaycard you'd like to transfer money from
the debit card with sort code and account number for the account you wish to transfer money to
Your offer letter provides details of accounts we're able to transfer money into
So maybe yours does too.

Thanks for the replies. I should recieve my card by tomorrow according to barclaycard, so hopefully it will say something on there?!
if not, I will just have to use my other credit card and then balance transfer it over. Just thought it was easier to do if I could do it straight to my current account.
