Would you refund postage for this ?

I sent out some items using DHL.
I can prove I sent it, I can prove a delivery attempt was made and card was left. The buyer says they never got a card and wont pay for another delivery.
He said he was paying 'over the odds anyway' and wants a refund.
I refunded the money minus the postage.
I sold him 2 items for £120, which you cant buy on the net for less than £600, how on gods earth is he paying over the odds ?
Would you refund the postage ? I'm expecting some aggro from this one

Definitely not refund the postage, totally the buyer's responsibility, sounds like they don't really want he items. Sounds like a total muppet. Neg him and block him from bidding on anything else. If there was only one delivery attempt they should have been able to arrange another for free with dhl.

I wouldn't believe DHL saying that they definately attempted delivery - they tried that on with me and I'd been in all day meters from the door.

The buyer messed me about over this.
Originally he paid with paypal, then he said he was gonna be in the area and could he collect them and pay cash which would save me fees.
I said yes and refunded the money.
He never showed up to collect the items, I waited over an hour.
He then said something came up and he couldn't get there to collect. He paid again using paypal.
I sent the item, it wasn't collected and then it was returned to me.
I can't work this part out, The delivery record shows this :
    Held - For Re-Delivery, card left 7/6/07 07.19
    Held - For Re-Delivery, card left 6/6/07 07.29
    Held - For Re-Delivery, card left 5/6/07 07.40
    Held - For Re-Delivery, card left 4/6/07 07.16
    Held - For Re-Delivery, card left 1/6/07 15.11
No One To Receive Card Left 1/6/07 14.26

anyway, I've refunded his money minus postage, and the items have been returned to me from DHL. DHL only make 1 delivery attempt, thats what they told me on the phone.
I asked them to try again and they said they couldn't without another 'instruction' i.e payment.

Hmm they say they only make 1 delivery attempt - so what are those 6 times cards were left - two on one day. It may just be my experiences that have tainted my views, but I don't trust dhl as far as I could throw one of their vans.

    Update:

I tried to get my final value fees refunded, but unfortunately this buyer wont agree to cancel the deal. He says he still wants to buy the items. He cant have them, because I relisted and sold them.
I looked in the dispute console and it says the case is closed and no fees refunded. I want the £6 fees back !

Is that it, do we not get the chance to discuss this further ? can I not have ebay look at who's fault it was ?

Unfortunately the moment you choose to go for a mutual reclaim of fees you become entirely reliant on the good will of the buyer to agree.

As the buyer chose not to confirm that he didn't want th items, ebay have closed the dispute. It cannot now be reopened nor can you start a new NPB claim.

Hi Soo, How can I check if 2 accounts are from the same buyer.
After this problem, I relisted the items and blocked the buyer, Its a coincidence that the new buyer in the same area as the otherand has been a user for only a couple of days. I think its the same buyer.
I've been trying to bring up their contact details  .
