Hi had an email yesterday re win a day on board the empress cruise saying i had won a pair of tickets they are now asking for all passport details feel a bit iffy about giving them any help please

It says on the competition "All entrants must be over 18 and hold a valid passport as this will be required to board the ship. One entry per person." So it looks perfectly legit to me

Hi thanks for replying i dont mind asking that you need to take a passport on the day but am worried they want all the passport info Its not as if were going anywhere I have emailed them asking why No reply yet !!

Hi have had an email with this " for security purposes" nothing else was written no reassurance no details so I think i,m gonna say no to the prize

There are certain comps, The Perfume Shop and alcohol prizes, that do request passport details - so it is not unheard of.

Can you post the email? It would make it easier to offer an opinion. For instance, is the email sent just to you, and do they address you by your name/user name? If so, I think it would make it more likely that it is legit.
