The List 2:
:staradmin Convinced the Jobcentre to pay my travel expenses for an interview on Fri, although I had to speak to three people to get agreement. Apparently their budget for "non-essentials" like interview travel expenses has been cut. It's my first real time on benefits and so far I've paid all my own expenses so I don't think it was unreasonable to ask for expenses to travel to an interview 40 mins/30 miles away by car as I am required to apply for jobs up to 90 mins travel time away.
:staradmin Did a Frugal shop. OH used a coupon in FarmFoods to get £2.50 off. (Link) Walked between Tesco, Lidl and FarmFoods to get the best bargains.
:staradmin Made our own KFC for dinner. One chicken breast cut into thin strips, coat in flour, then egg, then breadcrumbs mixed with black pepper and paprika. Deep fry/grill til golden brown. Served with homemade egg fried rice. Cost = £not-a-lot.
:staradmin Bought four packs of puff pastry at reduced price in Tesco. Placed in freezer.
:staradmin Read Martin's email. Thanks for the reminder Perni. (Link)
Freebies:
:staradmin This weekend lots of places like historic buildings, local fire stations and court houses are having free Open Days across Scotland. I'm gonna look at what's open in our area. Hi all, been absent since Friday as had a busy few days with our anniversary and dd1 starting school.
Today, I've walked to and from school.
Went to free stay & play at soft play this morning. Mil paid for my hot choc. Went to a little stretch of shops for a coffee and walk around, mil paid car park so I bought the next hot choc for her.
B and d from stores, snacked on a cake at costa for lunch (naughty!)
Checked eBay.
That's it xDFW Total £21,800 to clear by Dec 2022
MFW Total £184,950 £179,066 to clear by 20350 -
