Salter Scales 15 Year Warranty

Hello,

I bought a Salter Scale about 3 years ago. It is now playing up and giving me very inaccurate readings. I've replaced the battery but no luck.

I'm aware that when I bought it the box said 15 year guarantee on it. However, I can't find the receipt or box. I can't even remember if it was Tesco or Asda that I bought it from.

Do I have any chance of salter fixing it? I cannot find any information regarding this on their website.

Thank you

You can only ask, but proof of purchase is normally necessary.
  • Contact Salter Direct with the model number and serial number if you can find them.

In my experience the response varies from company to company.

Black and Decker replaced something for me based only on the batch number of the item moulded on the base which showed it was less than 2 years old. Rotary watches got very difficult about fixing a 14 month old watch because we had not sent them the registration card even though we had proof of purchase.
  • you need to weigh up your options.
  • You can try it. They repaired mine no probs, but I did have a receipt I think.
