NoCall of duty yes.
GTA no0 -
YesI let my kids play GTA in free roaming mode. Missions etc are too complicated, and I wouldnt feel comfortable with the sexual content. Violence and swearing isnt the same IMO.
My kids arent about to go out and steal and a car and drive it off a bridge as a result of GTA.0 -
My daughter is very good at computer games for her age (6), I allow her to paly GTA and Call of Duty - she is fully aware that it is not real.
She plays GTA because she likes driving around in the cars, she plays GTA because she likes running around and the explosions, she will shoot every now and then but she is fully aware it's not real - she doens't really like the shooting aspect and is more in awe of the graphics and loud explosions etc.
She plays these games rarely, most of the time she is playing minecraft or the lego games.11K Challenge

Yesi know as i write this post i will be disliked but its the truth
for me i let my 4yr old play GTA with no sound
and CoD he is really good even beating my friends online(and thats me bragging as a proud dad)
hitman, sleeping dogs, prototype 2 & dead rising 3 he also plays
but yet when it comes to Saint Row thats were i draw the line, thats a game you will be answering to many puzzled questions from your kids
(dildo baseball bats)
they also recon that fast pasted games improve reaction times and multi-tasking0 -

Know this post is old but have you have played GTA5 since then? (Sexual content side of it).
I have a 6 year old nephew and no chance (know his parents won't allow too), he is on my Xbox 360 playing Lego Marvel Heroes, Lego Batman.
I had him over last night, and I was close to a checkpoint while playing Splinter Cel: Blacklist, I let him watch and explained I'm putting the bad guys to sleep (using sleep grenade), and I turned up the volume so he can hear them snoring.
For his PS3 he has Little Big Planet, Seag Mega Drive Classics ( for his father lol) and wants to get Sonic Generations, Lego Batman 2 and Lego The Movie Video Game.
I have all the Batman Arkham series, I think he is ok to play these, but will need help in some parts - predator encounters.
Says it all when parents supervise while playing it - they know it's bad content.The_One_Who wrote: »They can watch the news (which most children will be, if only because the parents are) and see much, much worse, and it's real.
I wasn't aware the news showed some girl bent over and another bloke !!!!ing her behind or sounds of a blowjob.
I wasn't aware the news showed torture as it was happening.0 -
NoI'm not comfortable with my 7 year old seeing that kind of violence (yes he sees the news so maybe I am a hypocrite).
Generally I let him see films or play games up to a 12 rating.
Though I am assured "everyone else's mum lets them" ....0 -
I was amazed to see this question even being asked, its 18 for a reason people0

God when I was 6 I was playing Cricket up against the garage - annoying my dad no end.
I also went and built dens - Oh How times have changed.
As for GTA, I was about 13 when I got my hands on GTA: Vice City - I think thats about an 'ok' age to let somebody play it.
I personally do not buy into the link between the game and violence in real life, I think parenting just needs to be better.0 -
NoMy nephew is 5 (so nearly 6) and he's not even allowed to watch me playing James Bond (which is a little violent but no sex or swearing that I remember and far tamer than GTA).
I would NEVER let a child play GTA 5. I think 15+ is a fairly okay age to let children play the earlier GTAs and work up. That's my opinion anyway.
I mean the swearing alone is enough to stop an adult letting their kid play/watch GTA 5 in the first place right??
COD I'm not sure because I don't think it's as bad but there is enough swearing and "soft violence" to question whether it's a good idea to let a 6 year old play/watch.The truth is out there... and I want to believe0 -
NoIN GTAV there is a scene where one of the main characters is shagging a woman from behind. The woman's boyfriend finds out and confronts the main character saying he loves the her and what-not.
Then the main character proceeds to stamp on the boyfriends head whilst shouting "Cnt!!!!! Cnt!!!!! Cnt!!!!!". Afterwards he peels off a piece of scalp that had been stuck to his shoe.
Is it okay for a 6 year old to see that? Really?
Edit: Spoiler alert0
