Transfering Money from Abroad

We have spent a lot of time searching but have not really found any definite advice. We have a large amount of euros that we want to transfer into pounds after completing the sale of my wife's flat in Serbia today (it is now in a Greek bank in Serbia).
The exchange rate for EUR to GBR is not great at the moment and we are not in a rush but would really like to know which FX companies to get quotes from. Also if we will be changed to take the money out from the bank in Serbia.
To do a direct transfer from this bank (I don't have the name to hand) will cost around 600 euros. Our bank here is RBS so I guess we will then also not get a great exchange rate.
Thanks,
Huw

You can do exactly what you want to do using Bitcoin and the "fees" will be less than £2 regardless of the amount.
It is well worth looking into ... http://bitcoin.org/en/0 -
Why transfer the money? The best return you are likely to get on it, with a very low level of risk, is to invest in a Greek bank and perhaps through the bank buy bonds issued by the governments of Greece and Cyprus.
Seriously, if you look at the Travel section of this forum you will find many answers to your question.0
