BABY Bank Account

Hi fellow money geeks. We're looking for advice from those in the know.
Pleased to say we had a new arrival in our house 8 weeks ago!
We'd like her to have her own bank account (i.e in her own name) ASAP so that we can put money aside for her as and when shes earnt it!!! To start with we'd open an account with a couple hundred £££'s and then top it up regularly.
Easy access not required.
So, what do you reckon is our best option?
Any advice would be appreciated.

Grats on the new family member
(well, perhaps the beer isn't appropriate at her age)
Martin's got a great page on this!

You should probably also think about the timescale that you're thinking of saving for. If it's a long time, a JISA might be a better idea than a savings account.0 -
