Ok can anyone help with we're I stand legally? I bought a caravan on eBay for £10.50 thinking that the seller wanted to sell cheap as ground fees being very high. (As many do) after I'd paid he has cancelled my purchase saying he missed a zero out on the price! What are my legal rights? Thought if a price was stated it had to be adhered ? Can anyone help please so I know my rights. Thank you

Did you pay through Paypal? If so, contact them. To be honest though, apart from leaving him negative feedback and Ebay possibly giving him a slap on the wrist, I'm not sure there's much you can do. I assume he has refunded your payment?"...and in the end, the love you take, is equal to the love you make".0

There is nothing you can do unfortunately as although the seller should sell the item to you, you can't force them to.
All you can do is report the seller as a non performing seller & leave them feedback that you see fit.0 -
You could take them to court...but can you be bothered??
EDIT: suing is only applicable for 'auctions', BIN is subject to offer/acceptance.0 -
Just offer to pay £10.500Don't trust a forum for advice. Get proper paid advice. Any advice given should always be checked0

No you cant, assuming it was a buy it now, as it must have been as he forgot the zero on the end, then offer and acceptance takes place.Computersaysno wrote: »You could take them to court...but can you be bothered??
You made an offer but it was refused due to an error, this is no different to the hundreds of similar posts we see every week.0 -
So why not just pay him the £105?0

Sorry, yes bris you are indeed correct wrt BIN and offer/ acceptance.
I saw ebay and thought 'auction' [in which case suing is an option].0 -
The thought also crossed my mind too, as auction sales are legally binding whatever the price.Computersaysno wrote: »Sorry, yes bris you are indeed correct wrt BIN and offer/ acceptance.

To be fair, most would realise there was a genuine error here. No one in their right mind was going to seriously think they were going to get a caravan for £10.50.:rotfl:0
