If you have a Amex Chargecard you can find out your limit by calling amex and asking them to do a dummy transaction.
I called them and they said the maximum transaction that is approved is £2k
So basically limit is £2,000

That's not your limit, that's the largest transaction you can put through.
You could do 10 transactions of £1000 (though if you haven't done that before, they might get suspicious and start blocking it too)0 -
Ah so let's say i do a transaction for £1500 a few days later i do a transaction for £1500 again it will still get accepted?0

Maybe , maybe not. I think a lot of it is down to you pattern of usage. If you regularly charge large amounts then I suspect you will be fine. If you only ever use the card for small transactions then anything big may result in it being declined - just like any other card.0

I have had a charge card for years... if I am about to buy anything well outside of my usual spending pattern then I phone up and let them know in advance.
Once, in the first few years and with a very large purchase, they asked me to have my bank fax them a confirmation that I had the funds deposited to repay the large transaction... I did this and had no problem at all.:hello:0
