I have an agreement with the people in my area. I won't drive on the pavement and they won't walk in front of my car; so far it's worked really well. No matter how fast I drive I haven't killed anybody.0 -

Did you hear a whistling sound as you read my post?
It was the sound of a joke going way over your head.

I definitely learned my lesson about speeding today and it will never happen again.
I didn't get pulled over or anything, I just showed up to work 20 minutes early.
A work colleague of mine pointed the same out to me a couple of weeks ago - he could never understand why people speed on their way to work.0 -

How much time do you actually save doing 85mph in between speed traps?
Some people speed in between traffic lights in the city but they never get much distance because everyone catches them up at the next lights.
Considering that the motorway is probably a fraction of the trip in time (most would be pent in the smaller residential roads at home and at the destination) Iddon't think speeding at 85mph on the motorway will save you 20 minutes. More like 4 minutes at average commuter distance0
