Ideas for a knitted gift for a 6 year old boy

Hi all I have found a pattern for a doll and two dresses in a library book and I am making one each for my daughters and nieces for Christmas. However don't want to leave my son out but can't find anything suitable as he is a bit past cuddly toys now. Any ideas? If there is a free pattern anywhere even better, otherwise will have to resort to a scarf and hat lol.

have you seen Sarah Keen's dinosaur patterns? There may be some on the Ravelry website.0

My son got a knitted santa one Christmas and to this very day (he is 18) still gets it out and has a look when the decorations come out !I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
My six year old DD would love a knitted dinosaur!
What kind of TV/film does he like? I'm thinking knitted tree fu tom wristband things, or a Horrid Henry jumper or a knitted dalek or minion. Perhaps a hat in red with a black spiderweb pattern.
Or what about getting some silvery wool and knitting a 'chainmail' tunic?0 -
Thanks for the ideas guys he is into skylanders and star wars at the mo and I have found a little Yoda I might make him. Think the chainmail is a good idea cause he is into knights and stuff. I would like to make him a jumper with a star wars logo on or something but im not really sure I have the skill. Maybe I could ask my nan to help me out.Mummy to two beautiful girls and one gorgeous boy.0

My son is 6 and also int i sky landers and Star Wars so they sound quite similar. Another thing my ds likes is angry birds. I would imagine it would be quite easy to do one?
He has little angry birds toys and throws them across the room to knock things down, but a knitted one would mean a lot less of me shouting at him! Maybe an idea?Mummy to ds 29/12/06 dd 10/2/08 ds 25/5/11:Amy angel born too soon 18/11/12, always with me Emmie Faith:A15 projects in 2015 10/15completed0 -

I have a library book at the minute called 'Knit Your Own Zombie'!
I know he is only 6 but you know how kids like spooky things, there are quite a few interesting ones in there
Perhaps you could order it at your local library.

Hi
My friend's boys are 6 and 9 and huge Dr Who fans so last Xmas I knitted them both Ted Baker Dr Who scarves which they loved.
A friend at work is knitting a wolf hat/scarf from a recent knitting now magazine, which I'm sure most little boys would like.
I would love to make a knitted Minion for my 'little' boy (18) has anyone seen a pattern?0
